Trauma-focused work

Trauma-focused therapy is tailored to the individual, recognizing that no two experiences are the same. Whether it’s recent trauma, childhood experiences, or ongoing experiences, the aim of this type of work is to help individuals regain a sense of control, rebuild trust, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

Eye-movement densensitisation reprocessing

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based trauma-focused psychological intervention, which focuses on helping people reprocess memories of trauma or distress in a way that reduces their emotional intensity and impact. EMDR incorporates bilateral stimulation—such as guided eye movements—to facilitate the brain’s natural healing processes.

Determining whether EMDR is suitable for you requires a thorough assessment. I will work closely with you to understand your unique needs, discuss potential treatment options, and determine if EMDR aligns with your goals and readiness.
